Let’s explore the concept that Africa was once joined to South America? In order to better understand and appreciate our African itinerary let’s examine the geological and astronomical forces that have shaped life on planet Earth and the creation of the African continent.

What shapes the natural wonders of our African itinerary?  Why is Madagascar so unique? Why is Zanzibar an island? Explore the fascinating science creating many famous geological and historically significant sites found in the countries we visit.
 
A discussion of South African History in 45 minutes. Explore the story of its beginnings as a colony, its imperialist period, tribal conflict, sudden wealth, and final democracy.
 
The scramble for 19th century Africa and the men that made history, Livingston, Stanley and Rhodes. Let’s explore the role of Cecil Rhodes and his desire to construct a Cairo to Cape Town railway, along with the explorations of David Livingstone and Henry Stanley as they spent their lives looking for the source of the Nile.
 
The Out of Africa Theory. When did early humans leave Africa and migrate to the rest of the world? Examine the reasons why the dispersal of Homo Sapiens occurred, the importance of climatic changes, and the significance of the great Toba eruption, seventy thousand years ago, that wiped out a huge portion of Hominins and Neanderthals.
