Christopher Aves - Sir Travel Guru, Consultant, and Lecturer.

Welcome to my website.  I am a retired independent businessman who is enjoying his retirement travelling, teaching, mentoring, and doing a little work along the way.  I maybe retired but I am very active, and enjoy new and challenging assignments. Check out the tabs above to see what I have to offer.

I was born in Southern England, midway between Southampton and Brighton, in the small Cathedral City of Chichester. I grew up amongst the remnants of Roman Britain in an area steeped in history. As a boy I developed a keen interest in castles and medieval cathedrals, and that interest is still with me today.

In 1973 I was working in London, England for Dallas based Texas Instruments, and was transferred to Dallas, Texas. It was in Dallas where I met my wife Helena. We raised two children in Dallas and then onto Raleigh NC. We now reside in Port St. Lucie, Florida. (Be sure to check out my Florida Residents Travel Guide created during the pandemic. Look under Books for Sale above.)

Helena, (www.HelenaAves.com) and I, were both independent business people for most of our working life. We have always made a conscious effort to travel with each other on our respective business trips, thus affording each other a wealth of international knowledge and memories. We enjoy travelling, especially in Europe, whether it be by car, train, ship, or plane.
